A Wedding at Notley Tythe Barn, Joanne & Geoff A Sneak Peek

You can plan every detail of your wedding but the one thing you have no control over is the weather. Just because you book a wedding in June doesn’t mean that you can guarantee back to back sunshine…..but when can we with the British weather?! Joanne & Geoff’s day was still full of sunny smiles & happiness despite the weather!JGF-ML-MLP15355-203We photographed their wedding at the lovely Notley Tythe Barn near Long Crendon. We captured images of the Groom, Best Man & guests mingling in the barn before they took their seats & awaited the arrival of the bride.JGF-ML-MLP14872-6 JGF-ML-MLP14883-13 JGF-ML-MLP14905-24 JGF-ML-MLP14906-25 JGF-ML-MLP14966-51We always take images of the rings before the service but Joanne & Geoff’s were beautifully made by our very talented friend Lisa Marie who is Designer Goldsmith. We love her work so much she made our engagement & wedding rings!JGF-ML-MLP26444-4Joanne looked beautiful when she arrived & there was barely a dry eye in the house as she walked down the aisle.JGF-ML-MLP14932-42 JGF-ML-MLP14946-45 JGF-ML-MLP14970-53 JGF-ML-MLP14976-56 JGF-ML-MLP14987-65The buttonholes, Brides & Bridesmaids bouquets & flowers were grown & arranged by the wonderful Rachel from Green & Gorgeous. They really were a wonderful mix of everything ‘June’ Love in the Mist, Poppies & Peonies.JGF-ML-MLP14901-20 JGF-ML-MLP14950-47 JGF-ML-MLP26462-12Mark has been doing some photography for Green & Gorgeous so we visited on the day before the wedding & captured some images of Rachel picking & arranging the beautiful flowers.GG-ML-MLP14431-1 GG-ML-MLP14538-2 GG-ML-MLP14631-3 GG-ML-MLP14677-4 GG-ML-MLP14748-5After a lovely service in the barn we photographed the group shots during the drinks reception before Joanne, Geoff & their guests were seated in the main barn for the wedding breakfast.JGF-ML-MLP14999-69 JGF-ML-MLP15006-75 JGF-ML-MLP26565-78 JGF-ML-MLP26569-80 JGF-ML-MLP15113-117 JGF-ML-MLP15143-122JGF-ML-MLP15197-151Due to the inclement weather meaning we couldn’t go outside for the shots of the Bride & Groom I returned the barn in the early evening. As I got back they were doing the speeches so I whipped the camera out & took a few of the laughs & emotions. I then took Joanne & Geoff outside for some shots of the two of them. We couldn’t go to far afield as the ground was so wet but I am really pleased with the images I took of them in the wonderful rural setting of the barn.JGF-ML-MLP15327-197 JGF-ML-MLP15344-201 JGF-ML-MLP15357-204 JGF-ML-MLP15406-212 JGF-ML-MLP15412-214 JGF-ML-MLP15472-223I left the couple enjoying the rest of their wedding day. A Wedding at The Compleat Angler, Emma & Robert’s Sneak Peek

Recently I photographed the wedding of Robert & Emma at The Compleat Angler in Marlow.

251-ERH-MLP15437-177Now considering the beauty of the River Thames as it winds its way through Oxfordshire, Berkshire & Buckinghamshire there are very few venues that can rival The Compleat Angler‘s position right on the river with unparalleled views of the Marlow Weir.012-ERH-KS-MLP25807-5This was one of those weddings where everything was in one place so Kiti & I arrived together before Kiti joined the groom & I went to find where the bridal party were getting ready.019-ERH-MLP14712-14Emma was with her bridesmaids & family getting ready at the hotel. I’ve said this before but I love this part of the day capturing the bride getting ready to meet her groom surrounded by her friends & family.032-ERH-MLP14754-27Whilst I was with Emma, Kiti was with Robert, his Dad who was his Best Man & his Ushers getting some shots before he made his way into the ceremony room to await his bride.100-ERH-KS-MLP26053-32 062-ERH-KS-MLP25927-18Before long it was time for Emma to make the short walk from her room to walk up the aisle with her Mum & Dad.114-ERH-MLP14945-77 125-ERH-MLP14957-82After the service we gathered everyone out in front of the hotel & I ran up onto Marlow bridge to take a shot before doing the rest of the group shots.172-ERH-MLP15079-117I then took Emma & Robert off do some stylish shots of the two of them. With any wedding in Marlow it’s got to include the obligatory shot on the bridge with the help of the ushers to stop traffic!213-ERH-KS-MLP26258-70I never like to keep the couple away from their guests for too long so it was then time for them to return to the wedding breakfast, speeches & cake cutting. After a delicious meal & some great speeches it was time for Emma & Robert’s first dance before everyone joined them on the dance floor. Kiti & I joined them on the dance floor to get some shots of everyone having fun. As always, rather like a couple of Cinderella’s we wound our way homewards leaving everyone having fun!413-ERH-MLP15759-289 426-ERH-MLP15799-297 428-ERH-MLP15802-298Many congratulations Emma & Robert, wishing you every happiness for your future together. We hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Laura & Pete – A Wedding at The Compleat Angler, Marlow – A Sneak Peek

I do keep these to a minimum as group shots can take a little while and I would hate to be known as the photographer who kept everyone waiting about, causing their champagne to loose its fizz!142-LPR-ML-LORD7866-104 150-LPR-ML-LORD7952-113 151-LPR-KS-IMG_6061-39It was now time for everyone to board a wonderful traditional Victorian steam boat the SL Streatley for a trip on the Thames.165-LPR-ML-LORD7980-118

186-LPR-KS-IMG_6178-63 215-LPR-ML-LORD8092-143 216-LPR-ML-LORD8102-144It was a lovely trip & everyone really enjoyed their time on the boat – photographer & assistant included! Once we were back on dry land Kiti & I took the Bride & Groom away to do some shots of the two of them together. This included, of course, stopping traffic & getting some obligatory shots on the bridge!266-LPR-ML-LORD8300-183 284-LPR-ML-LORD8420-200 316-LPR-ML-LORD8601-225We now let the Bride & Groom get back to their guests & they made their entrance into their wedding reception to a round of applause.341-LPR-ML-LORD8672-243 370-LPR-ML-LORD8730-264 375-LPR-ML-LORD8741-268 394-LPR-ML-LORD8776-283 434-LPR-ML-LORD8849-312 409-LPR-KS-IMG_6792-129 410-LPR-KS-IMG_6793-130After some great speeches & a delicious meal it was time for cutting the cake & Laura & Pete’s first dance. 461-LPR-ML-LORD8961-332 467-LPR-ML-LORD8980-336 471-LPR-ML-LORD8995-340As everyone joined them on the dance floor there was one particular groovy dancer! 480-LPR-ML-LORD9033-347 479-LPR-ML-LORD9030-346

As always Kiti & I left them tearing up the dance floor. We hope you enjoy your sneak peek Laura & Pete. Congratulations & wishing you both every happiness!

Helen & Pete – A Sneak Peek

Recently Kiti & I were at the ‘Happily Ever After’ party for Helen & Pete.HPH-ML-LORD6093-18Helen & Pete were married earlier in the year in Florida & this evening was their chance to celebrate with their friends & family who weren’t at the wedding.

HPH-ML-LORD6178-40

They held their party at one of our favourite venues The Tythe Barn, Launton. The Tythe Barn is a fabulous wedding venue but is also great for all sorts of other celebrations.

HPH-ML-LORD6745-176We started late afternoon by taking a Helen & Pete off for a few shots before their guests      arrived. The Tythe Barn has lovely grounds & we used the folly, shepherds hut & a lovely bench for some romantic shots of the two of them.HPH-ML-LORD6158-36 HPH-ML-LORD6171-38 HPH-ML-LORD6223-53 HPH-ML-LORD6249-60 Before long it was time for them to return to the barn to greet their guests.

HPH-KS-IMG_5376-27 HPH-KS-IMG_5387-30

After a drinks reception & group shots in the garden it was time for everyone to take their seats to enjoy an English/American afternoon tea including American-style slider burgers & delicious scones with jam & clotted cream.

HPH-KS-IMG_5524-59It was now time for everyone to hit the dancefloor starting with the bride & groom & then they were joined by their guests.

After allowing them some time to mingle with their guests Kiti & I took Katie & Gavin for a wander to do some shots of the two of them together. Brill is a lovely village with far reaching views across five counties & has a beautiful traditional windmill that we used to get some great shots.GKH-ML-LORD5555-142 GKH-ML-LORD5580-147 GKH-ML-LORD5632-154I try not to keep the couple away from their guests for too long so it was now time for Katie & Gavin to be welcomed into the marquee by their guests & to enjoy a delicious meal & some great speeches.GKH-JS-IMG_4789-96 GKH-ML-LORD5801-207 GKH-ML-LORD5837-218After the speeches it was time for the evening guests to arrive & everyone to get down on the dancefloor.GKH-ML-LORD5946-243 GKH-ML-LORD5966-249 GKH-ML-LORD5972-250 GKH-ML-LORD6043-261We hope you enjoy your sneak peek Katie & Gavin. Kristina & Craig – A Sneak Peek

Recently I photographed the wedding of Kristina & Craig at Hedsor House. Hedsor is a beautiful venue & has been used as a location in many films & TV programmes such as Quartet & Spooks.

002-KCH-KS-IMG_6031-1

Kristina & Craig both got ready at the venue so once Kiti & I arrived we started taking photographs with the Bride & Groom. I always photograph the bridal preparations & found Kristina in the beautiful bridal dressing suite located on the first floor. It soon will be one of the largest bridal suites in Britain & certainly offered everything that a bridal party should need. It is always wonderful to be part of the day from the start to capture the all-important ‘ceremony’ of the bride & her bridesmaids getting into their finery!

068-KCH-ML-IMG_8546-55

While I was with the bride Kiti found the groom, best man, ushers & dad’s & got some great, stylish shots of the lads on the steps of the main entrance.

056-KCH-KS-IMG_6091-6

Now it was time for Kristina to make the short walk from the bridal suite to meet her groom in The Centre Hall where their guests were waiting in anticipation.

122-KCH-ML-IMG_8658-83 092-KCH-KS-IMG_6246-25

After a lovely service the guests followed the bride & groom to the lawns at the side of the house that has beautiful views across the grounds & countryside beyond.

178-KCH-ML-IMG_8786-119 180-KCH-KS-IMG_6504-61

During the drinks reception Kiti & I used the front of the house as a fantastically stylish backdrop for the group shots.209-KCH-ML-IMG_8947-141

After the group shots we borrowed Kristina & Craig for a little while to do some stylish shots of the happy couple in the wonderful grounds of Hedsor House. Kristina is a veterinary nurse so loved the shots in the countryside with some four-legged friends.

252-KCH-ML-IMG_9155-170

By now it was time for Kristina & Craig to return to their guests for the wedding breakfast. Craig is a chef so you can imagine that the food was an important part of the day for him. The absolutely delicious dinner was prepared & served by the fantastic Liz & her team from Cavendish Events. They also did a hog roast for the guests to have later in the evening during the dancing. After the beautiful meal, speeches & performance by the flowergirls it was time for cutting the cake, first dance it was time to hit the dancefloor.571-KCH-ML-IMG_0018-408 558-KCH-KS-IMG_7154-156Wishing you every happiness Kristina & Craig. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek & we will be in touch with your album proof soon!221-KCH-ML-IMG_8979-146

Amy & Tom – A Sneak Peek

Wedding season is truly underway at Mark Lord Photography & last weekend Kiti & I travelled to the lovely village of Evenley in Northamptonshire for the wedding of Amy & Tom.

Wedding Photography Notley Tythe Barn, Long Crendon

Kiti started her day with the groom at his family home in Evenley & I was with the bridal party getting some preparation shots before making the journey to the church. Its always an exciting part of the day & I always love the moment that Mum & Dad see their daughter in her wedding dress.

I love this shot of Amy & her Mum enjoying a moment before she walks into church on the arm of her dad.

Wedding Photography Notley Tythe Barn, Long Crendon After a lovely service we made our way to Notley Tythe Barn, Long Crendon near the border of Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire. The barn is in lovely countryside & offers some rural backdrops for some great couple shots.

Our bride even made a play on her maiden name & wore a bright yellow pair of Hunter wellies around the farm!

After a wander around the farm it was time for the bride & groom to mingle with their guests before making their entrance into the wedding breakfast.

As always Kiti & I were quite the Cinderella’s & left everyone on the dancefloor!
